week 2 of “the face of love”. it was a strange night as the whole day had been filled with technology glitches everywhere, but we got through it.

Lesson Topic: KINDNESS IS NOT A SIGN OF WEAKNESS.

Parker Selby, (@gye_nyame) our student intern walked us through a great conversation from his life journey about loving others through acts of kindness.

Attendance: Below Average.  missing many of our high schoolers.

Fun Factor: did a cell phone picture challenge with the students running around the campus grabbing some pictures and then texting them back in.  another great idea from tim schmoyer .

Volunteer Involvement: was light due to the closing of the women’s emmaus walk. had one volunteer on the weekend and others went to be supportive.

Student Response: the students were on their game.  great interaction from all.  began the time with some reflections from the Fields of Faith event earlier this week.  The adult leaders shared how proud they were of the students that led through the music, drama and testimonies.  One of our adult leaders, Rod also shared about how God showed up in a interaction with a single mom that he was able to assist this past week.  he just happened to have a can of gasoline in his truck (which he normally doesn’t) when he encountered a stranded motorist.  a great reinforcement of not missing life’s moments.  it was great reminder of showing kindness.
