Series Week 3: What’s a Teen to do? In the last two weeks, we’ve talked about God’s purposes for sex and the lies we often hear about sex. If we’re honest, most teenagers have several years of avoiding those lies until the time comes for God’s purposes for sex to be fulfilled in a marriage relationship. In light of the last two weeks, today we talked about specific actions that students can do to occupy their time while their waiting for God’s purposes for sex to be fulfilled in their lives.
The Big Idea: We offered 5 clear principles of action that our students could build on. All very clear and straightforward.
1. Know Your Bible & Know Your Standards
2. Let Your Standards be Known to Others
3. Flee from Any & All Sexual Immorality
4. Wait on Relationships Until You are Ready
5. Prepare for Your Future Role.
The final point was directed at engaging our students as servants. To take their idleness and invest it and themselves in the Kingdom work of this local Kingdom outpost. By serving others they will put on the example that Jesus himself gave, as he loved the Church.
